Site News Update – Registration No Longer Required To Download Tools
Downloading the security tools resulting from Dept of Energy, DHS and in house research have required a free account in the past. This is no longer necessary.
Sometimes technical glitches lead to a rethink. The update to WordPress 3.3.1 seemed to mess up a couple of plugins related to registration and read rights. We started to fix the problem and then realized that the value we were getting from the registration, getting the number and profile of the people interested in the tools, was not worth adding those extra steps for those interested in the tools. Since our main goal is to get the research results used, why make it even slightly harder to try it out?
So now you can download the Bandolier Security Audit Files, Quickdraw SCADA IDS rules and preprocessors, Portaledge security event detection for PI, and the SCADA Honeynet without any login or account requirements.
