The first draft section in the SCADA Field Device Protection Profile we are writing for NIST/PCSRF is out. This section defines the Target of Evaluation (TOE), and it is a very simple and straightforward section.

PCSRF members can download the document here: Word Version or PDF Version. We are soliciting comments on this section and all comments will be formally addressed.

We have also created a collaboration site for active participants using Basecamp from 37 Signals. On this site you can see and enter comments, edit the current section and see others’ edits, enter and comment on messages, see milestones and of course download the draft documents and some related reference documents.

The next draft section will cover the threats on PLC’s, PAC’s, RTU’s and IED’s and will be out on November 4th.
