PCSF News and Notes
Of course a lot of the value of attending a conference is in the break and reception discussions. Here are a few items:
- I finally cornered a very popular Joe Weiss to find out what he will be doing at his new company Applied Control Solutions. Joe will be supporting industry and government control system security projects he believes in and creating programs where he sees a need. Essentially the same thing as he has been doing the last few years but with more independence since he no longer needs to align his thoughts and interests with KEMA. I never thought of Joe as shy or reticent so it will be interesting to see the unchained Joe.
- Joe Weiss will be hosting his 7th Control System Security Conference, August 13 - 16 in Knoxville, TN. There is not a site up yet for this, but I’ll blog on that when it is available.
- There were more press at this event than typical, and most of the press has been blogging including Walt Boyes with Control, Greg Hale with InTech, and Wes Iversen with Automation World.
