Honeynet

Honeynets are used to:

  1. Collect attack statistics to help quantify risk and better understand how adversaries will attack systems.
  2. Provide an early warning of an attack. Since Honeynets are not valid production systems, any activity is likely to be at least unauthorized and likely an attack.

Digital Bond has designed and deployed SCADA Honeynets that appear to an attacker to be a popular PLC used in control systems. As part of our SCADA Honeynet project we are making an easy to deploy SCADA Honeynet available as two VMware server images to Digital Bond subscribers.

We have also deployed SCADA Honeynets and monitor them on an ongoing basis. Statistics and analysis of attacks on these SCADA Honeynets are available on an ongoing basis.
