Portaledge

Digital Bond’s Portaledge project is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Control system historians aggregate and correlate process data. The Portaledge project adds the capability to aggregate and correlate security events in OSIsoft’s PI Historian to detect cyber attacks. PI is the most widely deployed historian in the energy sector, both electric and oil and gas.

The Portaledge release packages are by Downloadable by Event Class.

The aggregation of raw security events is accomplished through configuring PI tags and PI interfaces. The release package includes a spreadsheet to help with the tag creation. Correlation of the aggregated events to detect cyber attacks requires normalizing the tags using the module database and an ACE module for the actual correlation rules. We have endeavored to make this simple for a skilled PI administrator through the templates and installation documentation.
