Working Groups
Each ISA Committee has one or more Working Groups primarily organized around the document or part of the document they are working on. Current Working Groups include:
- Working Group 1: Technologies, Technical Report 1
- Working Group 2: ISA99 Part 2
- Working Group 3: ISA99 Part 1
- Working Group 4: ISA99 Part 4
- Working Group 6: Patch Management Technical Report
ISA99 Standard
The ISA99 Standard is a multi-part standard that follows the same structure as many other ISA standards. While standards are typically mandatory, only a small portion of the standard are normative and required for compliance.
Part 1: Terminology, Concepts and Models Part 1 of most ISA standards and ISA99 defines terms, concepts and models for the subsequent parts of the standard.
Part 2: Establishing an Industrial Automation and Control Systems Security Program
Part 3: Operating an Industrial Automation and Control System Security Program
Part 4: Technical Security Requirements for Industrial Automation and Control Systems
There also is a Technical Report (TR 1): Security Technologies for Manufacturing and Control Systems. This document lists security technologies and explains how each technology applies or can be used in control systems.
Standard Status
- ISA99 Part 1 is approved and published.
- ISA99 Part 2 is completed and awaiting balloting. It is expected to be approved and published in summer, 2008.
